Why Should You Go See A Chiropractor?

A lot of people have recovered or are recovering from just about every known disease or condition under the care of a chiropractor - heart trouble, hyperactivity, fatigue, allergy, digestive problems, colds, flu, infertility

spine

Vertebral subluxation complex can take place when the spinal column becomes unbalanced, causing the nervous system to be placed under stress and becomes damaged. Then, it is not able to function at 100% capacity. Disease, overall body disharmony or malfunction may then occur. It interferes with your nerves, ligaments, discs and joints, weakens your muscles, and disrupts energy to all parts of your body, even blood flow to your internal organs, and perhaps even your brain. You may not even know you have subluxions in your body for years because side effects often don't occur immediately. Your body gradually weakens to the point where you become vulnerable to sicknesses and diseases of all kinds.

Chiropractors, using spinal adjustment techniques and massages, restore your body's innate natural capability to heal itself.

Why should I go to see a chiropractor? To unlock your body's natural healing capabilities if you are sick, and if you feel fine, to help you stay that way.

Should I go if I'm suffering from a disease? Definitely - the chiropractor will help "turn on" your body's natural healing mechanisms, no matter what disease or illness you're suffering from.

Can I go if I'm under medical care? Absolutely - Vertebral subluxation complexes are something only licensed chiropractors are trained in handling. You are encouraged to continue your present couse of treatment from a doctor of homeopathy, naturopathy, osteopathy or medicine as well as see the chiropractor.

The teeter machineChiropractic Care Is Like Dental Care -  Have It Done Regularly

You should see your chiropractor on a regular basis, just like you should for your dentist, to help keep small problems from becoming larger ones.

Here's how you can detect the early warning signs of vertebral subluxation complex:

  • Lack of energy or fatigue
  • One shoulder higher than the other
  • A foot flaring out when you walk
  • More ease on turning your head or back to one side than the other
  • Uneven wearing of the heels of your shoes
  • Pain (although it may occur much later than when the original subluxation appeared)

Chiropractic care is a form of health maintenance, because it is used to address pain and disease symptoms before they get bad, and to help you feel better when you get hurt or ill.

You should keep going to your chiropractor even if you are feeling otherwise fine. Here's why:

  • Spinal degeneration may continue even after you first receive treatment
  • You could be subject to disease, aches and pains, headaches and back aches
  • You could be experiencing sleeplessness, or have no energy
  • Quite a few people have had strokes, heart attacks, debilitating pain or a serious disease like cancer
  • Spinal degeneration causes the buildup of scar tissue or fibrosis, and many people who were in accidents can tell when a storm is coming, by being able to feel it due to the buildup (1)
  • Approximately 86% of people who have been in automobile accidents still have symptoms ten years later. (2)

The three phases of chiropractic care - what one are you in?

5

  • The Acute Phase - this is the state where the patient is in a state of discomfort or pain, and is usually the time when they visit the chiropractor
  • Reconstructive or Spinal Healing Phase - people continue going to their chiropractor because they need continued corrective care to strength and heal. Usually, when they are checked, their spine is out of alignment
  • Health Maintenance Phase - the spine is now holding adjustments, but people continue coming in for a periodic spinal checkup and possible adjustment. This is like tuning up your car.
